Ramadhan Preps for Nursing Mom(s)

Last year since I was still a homemaker during the Ramadhan month, Alhamdulillah, I managed to keep on fasting and completed one whole month of Ramadhan and not a single day off and still nursing my baby. I did made an okay ebm stock to cover for few days once I started working right after the Hari Raya holiday.

This year, I am a little bit worry as I am now a full time working mom and wonder whether I’m fit enough and capable to keep on pumping, whether I am able to stock adequate EBM for my lil tot.

Stocked up few ‘helper’ comprising Organic Oatmilk Powder, Organic Soyamilk Powder, Longan & Red Date Tea Powder, Oatmilk drink, Water Chesnut (Sengkuang Cina) drink, Jacob low-salt wheat biscuit, Scotts Emulsion and supplement which is Obimin (usually taken by preggies & even lactating mothers)

I must bear in mind to eat lots of dates too and try to reduce the caffeine-dose. Not easy as I am coffee and chocolate lover.

Drink lots of water, probably energy drink like 100Plus too should be helpful and avoid spicy and sourish food as it tend to make us thirstier.

So, you Nursing Moms out there, anymore tips you likely to share here with me?

  4. Tengah nak beli Shaklee Performance Drink ..bagi tenaga skit tengah risau juga stok tak byk.. tapi kene makan byk oat ngan kurma..

  5. Wah… dah banyak makanan tambahan tuk ramadhan nih.. 🙂 Hanz, nak tya, kalau obimin ( dalam scott emulsion tu ) kita yang bukan preggy ni boleh makan ye? Dok pikir tu untuk preggy mom je 😀

  7. tq for sharing your for me, i've been fasting this whole month.. so far alhamdulillah susu ok, much better than my 1st ramadhan with miya.seperti biasa, i eat lots ok kurma time berbuka & sahur. at night wajib minum any drink atleast 2L.also i've been trying masak dinner with food yg UP kan production susu. so i rajin masak nasik with fenugreek. been trying to cook fennel, baked, soupy & goreng. then sebelum tido, i makan multivitamin. eventho i tak preggy, but i still makan pramilet, multivitamin for preggo mom.for sahur i makan roti wholemeal or biskut yg ada oatmeal. kalau i tak sahur susu still ok, but i do feel a bit giddy after kita ingat sesama sendiri, sahur is important!!

  10. sya takde wt preparation apa pn..mkn seperti biasa..minum seperti biasa..yg penting yakin susu sya ckp utk my baby..tapi air mmg kene byk minum sbb takut dehydrate..multivitamin tu mmg kene selalu mknlah..utk tmbh tenaga.
